Three Williams is nicely positioned cafe in a transformed warehouse space on Elizabeth Street, Redfern. The space is light-filled and echoes its previous, more functional usage as a storage facility with polished concrete floors and exposed copper piping complemented by wood, leather and marble surfaces in the seating areas. Designed by Anthony Gill Architects, the semi-industrial space is softened by the extensive number of artworks on display by artist Brad Robson.
The cafes’ baristas are centrally located in the 285 sqm space and are serving Single Origin Roasters coffee and a good selection of teas. Breakfast dishes include The Merchant, a brioche style bun with bacon, pickled slaw and topped with a chilli fried egg, corn fritters with bacon and Nuremberg sausages, and for something sweet, a crunchy brioche French toast topped with seasonal berries and roasted pecans.
Three Williams cafe has a nice, buzzy atmosphere, good coffee and is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week.
