Style Rider aims to document the world’s most stylish motorcycle riders, be they riders of classic, custom or cafe racer steeds. Focused on the intersection of motorcycle culture with individual style, here we speak to BlueWorks owner Steve Fengdu about motorcycle riding in clothes that don’t go out of fashion.
Name: Steve Fengdu
Residence: Sydney, Australia
Occupation: Store Manager and Owner, BlueWorks
Instagram: @the_blueworks
Today’s ride: 2015 Harley Davidson 72
Describe your style: Workwear mixed with military-style. Principally American casual mixed with vintage items. I like clothes that will last a long time without going out of fashion. Today I am wearing a Colimbo A-2 flight jacket, TCB overall, Toys McCoy bag and Wesco Engineer Boots.
Favourite item: Patek Philippe 5124 watch.
Next purchase: WESCO suede Engineer Boots. WESCO boots, in particular the Japanese line, are highly customisable and can be adjusted to your taste.
Style icon/inspiration: Paul Newman. He wore military items, denim and suits with great taste.
Best local ride: Royal National Park, south of Sydney.
Tip for stylish motorcycle riding: Wear stylish, functional clothing and have an appropriately sized bag to hold your keys and phone.
Next motorcycle trip: The Blue Mountains, followed by Japan.
Why do you like riding? The wind blowing on my face and the feeling of speed take away the pressure and mess of life. And, it’s nice to wear something unique that looks a little ‘bad boy’.
