Style Rider aims to document the world’s most stylish motorcycle riders, be they riders of classic, custom or cafe racer steeds. Focused on the intersection of motorcycle culture with individual style, here we speak to social worker Jules Ruby clean lines and riding a heavily modified Triumph Bonneville.
Name: Jules Ruby
Residence: Sydney, Australia
Occupation: Social Worker
Instagram: @jules_triumphbonnie
Today’s ride: 2015 Triumph Bonneville T100 with many modifications including Cone Dominator sports pipes, Gazi suspension, O2 sensor, SAI and airbox baffle removed, M sports bars, Thruxton end mirrors and a new cafe racer seat.
Describe your style: I have a classic bike which means I dress for the bike. I like clean lines. Tight pants and fitted jackets. Nothing extra.
Favourite items: All eight of my leather riding jackets with the black and white Inshift I’m wearing the all time favourite.
Next purchase: A gloss black Shoei helmet with gold iridescent visor.
Best local ride: The Royal National Park. This my closest local ride. It has easy twisties and is beautifully scenic.
Best distance ride: The Coast Road to Melbourne. I love Melbourne and this is a great way to visit all the coastal towns along the way.
Tip for stylish motorcycling: Wear fitted jackets and matching helmets. And always wear protective gear on your bike.
Next motorcycle trip: Jindabyne in the Snowy Mountains.
Why do you like riding? The freedom and excitement that comes from riding a motorcycle. It also clears the head, representing a form of meditation, and I like the social aspect of getting together with like-minded people.
