Style Rider focuses on the intersection of motorcycle culture and individual style. Here we speak to Project Management by day, Music Producer/DJ by night Dimitri Amvrazis @nuendomusic about dressing for your ride.
Today’s ride: 2017 Harley Davidson Roadster custom partially modified by Gasoline Motor Co.
Describe your style: Describe your style: On the weekend, I tend to go for a more casual look, that fits better with music producer persona; Jordans, oversized tees, NBA jerseys, caps, baggy jeans. From a work/formal perspective, I am a sucker for a fitted white shirt, slim chinos, a fitted blazer and a floral pocket square, all finished off with the classic brown boots. I also don’t mind the occasional chunky ring.
Favourite items: My new Shearling Leather Jacket. It’s perfect for riding over winter.
Best local ride: Definitely a night ride across the Sydney coastline. My main starting point is La Perouse. Then I ride through all the eastern suburb beaches and eventually end up at Watson’s Bay.
Best distance ride: My longest ride has been to Wisemans Ferry and funnily enough, I completed this ride a day after I received my L plates. All or nothing. You can see Dimitri on his first motorcycle here.
Tip for stylish motorcycle riding: Choose clothes that suit your body and personality. Don’t be afraid to try something different every so often.
Ultimate riding kit (head to toe): Bell Moto helmet, tortoise shell framed sunnies, basic tee, sherpa jacket or checkered shirt (weather dependant), black leather gloves, vintage blue jeans and brown riding boots.
Next motorcycle trip: A trip down to Wollongong.
Why do you like riding? It’s probably the standard response. It clears my head and provides a fantastic sense of freedom. It also partially ticks the thrill-seeking box for me.
