Single Origin Roasters have opened a new cafe on an industrial side-street in Botany. The mural as you enter reads ‘Welcome to the mothership’ which is fitting as this is the site of their impressive roasting operation. A similar fit out to their Surry Hills cafe, the polished concrete, rusted metal, cork and industrial lighting fit in well with the personality of the area. As we have come to expect, the team deliver an extremely high level of coffee supported by a short menu of dishes including a 14 hour chicken and quinoa salad; the single tastiest dish I have had from the chefs so far. This is a welcome addition to one of Sydney’s industrial suburbs.
