This short post is in the form of a photo essay, presenting an early summertime visit to the hills around Molesworth in Regional Victoria. I often feel that rural Australia looks at its very best when the hills are dry and the temperatures hot; 39 degrees on this day. When the landscape is arid, the setting sun turns the scene a pleasing shade of yellow, then orange and finally light pink as the sun disappears behind the hills. While it is natural to favour the bush when it is green and lush, there is a beauty to the hot, dry and at times, dangerous Australian landscape that deserves recognition.
