Barton Perreira sunglasses are the brainchild of two ex-Oliver Peoples employees; designer Patty Perreira and former President, Bill Barton. Their frames are not mass produced, instead each pair is handmade in Japan. The lenses are CR-39 Optical-Grade Plastic or Mineral glass and are eminently suitable for our harsh Australian sun. This handsome tortoise shell pair have nicely rounded proportions and a slight sexy 1970’s feel. Purchased from Perfect Vision Optical in the Strand Arcade, Sydney, they are photographed here with a toy Melbourne tram and an Alvar Alto ‘Stool 60’.
