Style Rider aims to document the world’s most stylish motorcycle riders, be they riders of classic, custom or cafe racer steeds. Focused on the intersection of motorcycle culture with individual style, here we speak to Igor Pachi, aka ‘Owl Buster’, about 80’s skate style and riding all day in the National Park.
Name: Igor Pachi aka ‘Owl Buster’
Residence: Sydney, Australia
Occupation: Digital Content Creator, Designer and Videographer
Instagram: @owlbuster / @igorpachi
Today’s ride: 2020 Sol Invictus Mercury Mk2 250cc with pipe by @purpose_built_moto.
Describe your style: I am heavily influenced by 1980s/90s skateboarding and street style with sunnies by @raen, Vans shoes and random tattoos. The dark colours I wear are both practical on the bike and my preference stylistically. They provide a good base to play around, mixing it up with different styles. The one exception is that I love my tropical/party shirts.
Favourite items: Scondrles leather gloves by @griftercomlanyusa, Sony camera and Raen sunnies.
Next purchase: An Indian Scout Bobber and to keep customising the “Buster” (as I call my Sol Invictus).
Best local ride: 100%, the Royal National Park. Usually I leave home very early on a Saturday morning and spend the entire day getting lost around the roads of the ‘Nasho’. You can pick from Lady Walkehurst Drive to Sir Bertram Stevens Drive to Bundeena Drive and everything in between. I love riding this area and have been known to stay out until well after dark.
Best distance ride: I haven’t done many long distance rides. Typically, I would do a 200-300 km max, reset and roll again.
Tip for stylish motorcycling: There is no one ‘right’ way to roll. Choose a style and make it your own.
Next motorcycle trip: Either a Tasmania tour or New Zealand top to bottom.
Why do you like riding? Let’s say that only those who ride will understand the feeling of hopping on a motorbike. I call it the “universe parallel”. Nothing really matters but the road, the landscape, the bike, the speed, and it’s never the same.
