Larder Daylesford

Larder Daylesford’s causal atmosphere, good coffee and tasty food continues to strike the right note. The interior fit out features the work of local Kyneton designer and sculptor Jason Waterhouse. The ethos here is ‘re-claimed, re-cycled and re-made’ with the communal table being reengineered from an old basketball court, the benches from 100 year old floorboards and the constellation lights made from pieces of collaged steel. A recent refresh has seen a tweaking of the space to provide better access to the kitchen and two communal tables.

The menu makes the most of locally grown produce, while the wine list comprises seasoned and newly discovered regional operators. Coffee is also taken seriously with espresso, filter and cold drip on offer. More recently, Larder expanded into next door opening L1, a cafe focused on coffee with a limited number of pastries available. Both Larder and L1 have been great additions to Daylesford’s dining scene with their casual atmosphere and focus on quality. Recommended.
