The Grounds, rather unpromisingly located in the industrial suburbs of Sydney’s inner south when it opened, continues to impress as one of the most inspiring cafe openings in recent years. It has such an appealing presence with an industrial brick building, exposed wood and greenery and appears to have grown each time we visit with more outbuildings being added to cater to the ever increasing crowds. There are chickens, ponies and pigs in the ample herb garden, along with take-away coffee, donuts and bacon and egg rolls for those unwilling to queue for the breakfast. This is a great place to eat with the food being of a hight quality, the atmosphere buzzing and the coffee strong.
