The Baxter Inn continues to impress as one of the best cocktail bars in Sydney. Located in a basement behind bicycle shop Atelier de Velo, moustachioed bartenders serve serious cocktails—Sazerac Rye Old Fashioned’s being my personal favourite—to a mixed crowd in a friendly setting.
Vintage boxing photos, exposed brick walls and wooden booths help create the right atmosphere in which to sample an impressive selection of scotch, rye and whiskies. Coupled with complementary bowls of pretzels to munch on, and mocktails for the non-drinkers, The Baxter Inn has settled in well and is one of our favourite spots to enjoy a very well made cocktail.
