The bonsai collection at the National Arboretum Canberra features exquisite forests, single trees and arrangements comprising trees from various parts of the world. The National Arboretum Canberra is located on the site of a former tree plantation that was destroyed in the Canberra fires a few years back. Designed by Tonkin Zulaikha Greer, the building is situated on a hill overlooking the district and is popular with families as a place to explore the trees and have a cup of tea.
