Cho Cho San, Potts Point

Cho Cho San is a stylish, izakaya restaurant serving modern Japanese cuisine in Sydney’s fashionable Potts Point neighbourhood. Opened in 2014 by the team behind the nearby Apollo, architect George Livissianis has used polished concrete, plywood and brass to good effect, creating an airy, light-filled space. The menu comprises a number of key sections including sashimi, tempura, noodles, meats, salads and sweets. Highlights include the cucumber with togarashi, Petuna ocean trout, miso eggplant, agedashi tofu, teriyaki fish collars and charcoal chicken. As you would expect from a Potts Point location, there is a solid drinks menu with cocktails, beer and bubbles along with a good range of mocktails for the non-drinkers. After three visits, Cho Cho San has proven itself to be one of the standout dining experiences in Sydney’s competitive dining scene with efficient service backing up the tasty food from the kitchen.
