In Shinjuku, one of Tokyo’s nightlife epicentres, bikini-clad women stage nightly mock battles with enormous robots in a peculiarly Japanese form of entertainment. The show is quite kitsch, however, do not let that put you off as it is a wonderful experience and one unlikely to be repeated in other parts of the world. For three shows nightly, the girls wage war on the invading robots, riding dinosaurs and beating drums. Probably a once off experience for me, although a highly entertaining one.
